CSU Statement on President Trump’s Executiive Order
Posted by Jake Peabody on January 30, 2017 in
Sacramento State has students from the seven countries identified in the executive order who are studying here and may be affected by the immigration ban. They include students on F-1 visas, as well as permanent U.S. residents. We are in the process of reaching out to all of them to make sure they are safe and accounted for, and we want to offer our support to them as members of the Hornet Family.
We encourage any student who is having difficulty to schedule an appointment with Sacramento State’s Student Health and Counseling Services at (916) 278-6461. Additional support is available through the Sacramento State PRIDE Center, (916) 278-8720; the Women’s Resource Center, (916) 278-7388; the Multi-Cultural Center, (916) 278-6101; and the International Programs and Global Engagement Office (916) 278-6686.
We are firmly committed to standing against discrimination and oppression in any form, and we support our international students, staff, and faculty. We are monitoring the situation very closely and will provide another update as soon as more information becomes available.
